Vinapor Blue Water Resort | Carmen, Agusan Del Norte

Reading Time: 5 minutes

Carmen, Agusan Del Norte: If you want a unique experience like swimming in a man-made pool inside a cave, you better head to Vin4 Blue Water Resort!

For The Gram

After a 20-minute tricycle ride from Tagcatong Crossing, I have finally set foot in Brgy. Vinapor, home of the instagramable blue-colored cave pool! But first and foremost –  you have to rent and reserve the cave pool for private access for 500php an hour (maximum of 8 persons).

The ambient blue color of the 3-ft pool and its surrounding area is because of the LED lighting they installed in the pool, the other bluish hint is from Adobe Lightroom. Moreover, it is also due to the blue polycarbonate roof at the open part of the cave.

Aside from the cave pool, the resort also features outdoor swimming pools, cottages, and rooms with a view of the open sea. You can also find several figures of dinosaurs, akin to that of Jeds Island Resort in Bulacan, and other animals scattered all over its area.

Our Few Cents

The 500php/ hour rental was non-negotiable even if you are traveling alone. Being one of the top tourist attractions in Agusan Del Norte, the Vin4 Blue Water Resort definitely became like any other famed attraction around the country – it has become a tourist trap. The staff is unfriendly, with no water in their shower rooms, and no briefing whatsoever as to what you can or cannot access in the resort.

This resort is good for families, couples, and locals who want a fun weekend just to chill and unwind to beat the heat.

I did have fun, but that visit was my first and last time there – charge to experience per se. For budget travelers out there, this place is certainly an underwhelming place to visit.
