La Cathedral Cafe surely brings that European vibes with the rustic Neo-Romanesque charm of Manila Cathedral as the backdrop.
Within the historic walled city of Intramuros this cafe is making quite the rounds on the internet.
The cafe is located at the ground floor, open daily from 8am until 11pm. Then the roofdeck area, located at the third floor opens from 5pm until 11pm. The second floor area of the building serves as a law office.
The roofdeck provides a picturesque view of the walled city and the Europe-feels vibe with the Manila Cathedral domes and walls as the backdrop.
Be sure to be there early in the evening to queue your name on the waiting list. You can roam around Intramuros in the afternoon, then spend a romantic date in La Cathedral Cafe in the evening.

To sum up our experience: You are paying for the view.
The Good:
- La Cathedral staffs are one of the nicest in Intramuros
- Definitely one of the nicest views offered in the city of Manila
- Their prices are competitive and relatively cheap
- Serving size of their food is good for two persons
The Bad:
- We waited for an hour just to be seated. Please note that there’s no reservation system online nor can you reserve for a seat ahead of time. You have to be there personally, write your names and wait to be called
- You can directly order food at the roof deck area, but you still have to go down to order drinks at the ground floor
- They are not prepared for the sudden influx of people wanting to experience that Europe-feels vibe – thus long queues, longer food serving time, set less expectation on their food

- From LRT-1 Central Station – Just take a pedicab or walk going to Intramuros, Cafe is just located beside the Manila Cathedral
